March 20, 2019 Software Update Release features new native iOS app with support for the Apple Watch

Today we deployed to our cloud servers a software update release. This update release goes hand-in-hand with our new native iOS app which runs on iPhones and iPads.

The iGetBetter iOS app can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple AppStore. Once downloaded, patients can use the same login credentials that are used with the existing browser-based application and access the same application functionality. It includes support for the Apple Watch, which can now be used as a source of health and activity data similarly as devices we already support, such as those from Fitbit and Garmin. The new iGetBetter app is also fully integrated with the Apple Health app for even broader access to health and activity data collected by Apple Health.

In addition to general improvements and minor bug fixes, this update release also introduces an Automatic Body and Activity Monitoring plan that allows for the seamless tracking of certain wellness and lifestyle related physiological and activity parameters. This plan looks for Steps, Distance, Total Sleep, Total Calories burned, Calories burned through activity, Base metabolic rate, Calorie Intake, Weight and  Activity Minutes/Fitness Activity. This new feature is in support of our iGetBetter Wellness initiative.

Our first international pilot in Croatia

Enabled by the internationalization and localization work deployed in our most recent software release, we have embarked on our first international pilot. We are working with community hospitals in the Dubrovnik-Neretva Valley county of Dalmatia in the south of Croatia, who have patients widely dispersed in rural areas as well on the numerous islands off the Dalmatian coast in the Adriatic Sea. The pilot, focused initially on hypertension patients, will allow the clinical staffs of the community hospitals to communicate care plan instructions and monitor the progress of patients in their homes, avoiding the necessity of the often difficult logistics of travel by the patients to the community hospitals. This pilot is partly funded by the EU, and will be watched with interest by the EU healthcare community.

January 29, 2019 Software Release

On Tuesday, January 29, we deployed to our SaaS servers one of our largest software updates to date, the product of five months of development. Substantial work was done in 3 categories:

  1. Internationalization and localization, including measurement units, date and telephone formats based on the selection of language and local culture options. These capabilities enable iGetBetter to be deployed internationally.

  2. Clinical patient/wellness client uploading and sharing of videos, images and documents.

  3. Security (e.g., account login monitoring).

We look forward to the next software update release in the near future.

IGetBetter Workshop at the Global Wellness Summit in Cesane, Italy on October 4-6, 2018

IGetBetter Wellness attended the Global Wellness Summit two weeks ago, showing for the first time our Online Health & Wellness Monitoring Application to the (new to us) rapidly emerging market segment of wellness destination spas and integrative medicine providers from all over the globe.

This year’s location sponsor was Technogym, the leading provider of fitness equipment and wellness solutions. The conference could not have had a more gracious host, who invited us to their headquarters in Cesane near Bologna, Italy.

As a silver sponsor at ISPA, we had the opportunity to present our Online Health and Wellness Monitoring App at a workshop and received a lot of positive feedback from the attendees. We were in particular fascinated by the fact that this wellness segment is a fast growing 4.2 B USD market increasingly focusing on the need to prevent diseases providing solutions for a healthier and happier life. We felt that we fit very nicely into this segment of preventative medicine adding this very important component of online health & wellness connectivity.

A copy of the workshop presentation can be emailed upon request.

The Global Wellness Summit opened many doors for IGetBetterWellness and we are thankful to be part of this extraordinary community.

Next year Global Wellness Summit will be in Hongkong. We hope to see you there!
